On Monday the 17th of October, 1814, one of history’s strangest industrial tragedies struck the St. Giles borough of London. The event, which would later become known as the London Beer Flood, claimed the lives of 8 people, as well as injuring many more and causing damage to multiple houses and buildings in the area.
